This wonderful location also joins a prestigious group of areas around the world that are certified International Dark-Sky Reserves and the park has been awarded as Dark Sky Friendly by Cranborne Chase national landscape International Dark Sky Reserve, where you can see the Milky Way and the Andromeda galaxy, if the clouds allow! The Lodge is only 20 minutes from the New Forest National Park, famous for its ponies, and borders Martin Down National Nature Reserve which is known for its wildlife, rare flowers and butterflies as well as the Jubilee Trail which crosses from border to border across Dorset and there is direct access to many miles of stunning footpaths, bridleways and cross-country cycling to enjoy around the hamlet of Pentridge.
Although the lodge is set in a quiet countryside location, you are only 40 minutes from the glorious sandy beaches of the south coast and the fossils of the Jurassic coast.

We stayed in the country lodge which was very comfortable. Location is very rural and remote but we wanted that. Hot tub fabulous. The cooking facilities are really good too and whilst many saucepans and frying pans, nothing there to use in the oven when we stayed, just be aware.
