Aptly named, Tranquility is a tastefully furnished, end-of-terrace holiday cottage in an Area of Outstanding Beauty on the outskirts of Falmouth, Cornwall.
Perched within walking distance of the idyllic Meanporth Cove and Swanpool Beach, Tranquility is based in Village of Gardens, Pendra Loweth which houses an array of shared facilities such as tennis courts, a gym, Jacuzzi, children’s outdoor play area and an indoor splash pool.
Pull up to your new home-from-home to find parking alongside the babbling stream which flows alongside the property, before crossing the threshold into your abode to find a delightful open-plan living space through the stable doors.
Venture into the sleek kitchen adorned with white ceramic worktops and a range of appliances including a hob, oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and even espresso coffee machine; you’re sure to find everything you need for dinner parties, brunches, evening meals and alfresco dining! Begin cooking up a storm after a day full of adventure and enjoy the fruits of your labour at the extendable country cottage dining table; if the sun is shining why not head outside and dine in the warmth of the sun on either the shared lawn shrouded by woodland and palm trees or the rear terrace with furniture and barbecue.
When the sun disappears over Tranquility head back inside to discover the sitting room fitted with a plush corner sofa adorned with scatter cushions and comforting throws perfect for cosying up on evenings and winter nights in front of the swivel TV. You can also find a variety of games so you can foster some friendly competition and a homely corner with electric fire; the perfect place to unwind with a book or immerse yourself in the tranquil sounds of nature.
When the evening draws to a close, travel upstairs to find a contemporary bathroom with a shower and bath so you can wash off the day’s adventures before retiring to one of two bedrooms.
Slope off to sleep in either the sumptuous four-poster bedroom or the twin bedroom which are both decorated in soothing colours of grey and hints of yellow.
If you can tear yourself from this haven of Tranquility find several villages greens which are perfect for picnics in the sun or take advantage of the onsite amenities by visiting the sun terrace bar/restaurant, relaxing in the Jacuzzi or letting the kids burn off some energy in the play area. Some nearby attractions include: Beaches, walks, coastal paths, Tennis, children’s play areas, Golf, Sailing, kayaking, Fishing, paddle boarding, tropical gardens, English heritage sites, Art galleries, Hall for Cornwall theatre, Boat trips, Universities, Yacht marinas, Sea safari’s, Festivals and Sea Shanty’s, Seal sanctuary, National trust, Lizard Peninsula, Cathedral city of Truro, Eden project, Newquay, Surfing, Tate gallery St Ives, Padstow, St Michaels Mount, Lands End, Geever tin mine, Isles of Scilly Day trips and more! Keen ramblers will be in their element as there are 16 acres of award-winning village gardens or they can join the country bridle path through farmland to the picturesque Meanporth where you can while away on the days on the golden sand or join the coastal path to explore the iconic Cornish coast.

Tranquillity is a lovely cottage resting near the village of Falmouth, Cornwall. Hosting two bedrooms; a double, and a twin room, along with a bathroom, this property can sleep up to four people. Inside you will also find a cloakroom, and an open-plan sitting, kitchen and dining area with electric fire. To the outside is off-road parking for one car, with further visitor spaces available, along with a patio area to the rear of the property with garden furniture, barbecue, shared hot tub and shared lawn area. Resting in a delightful location with pleasant surroundings, Tranquillity is a magnificent cottage in a vibrant part of England.

Please note that due to essential maintenance, the plunge pool and jacuzzi will be unavailable from 11th to 22nd May. These dates are approximate, and the work may take longer than planned.

Note: Seasonal opening times apply to the bar, restaurant, pool and Jacuzzi. The season usually runs from the beginning of April to end of October annually. The gym, tennis courts and children’s play area are available year-round.
Note: The shared splash/plunge pool is approximately 3 metres on either side with a 1.4 metre depth. It has a maximum capacity of 4 people at any one time.
Note: Pets must be kept on leads when on the Pendra Loweth estate.
Please note Septemeber and October 2025 7 night bookings only, please enquire for shorter stays.

Tranquility cottage was more than we could have imagined. We had such a lovely stay. Everything you possibly needed was provided and the host was contactable should we have any problems.
Cottage was so homely and a lovely atmosphere. Ideal for families and pets. My dog loved it too. Would highly recommend this property and would love to come back.

We had a lovely short break at Tranquility and immediately felt relaxed and at home. The personal touches of fresh flowers and cream tea made our welcome even nicer. The property is well situated in a quite spot and the enclosed patio area was a real bonus. All nicely decorated, clean, tidy and well equipped. We've stayed at a few properties at Pendra Loweth, but Tranquility has been the best.

We had a really relaxing time. The accommodation was warm, beautifully furnished and functional. Swanpool beach was really close, cool cafe bar and great dog walks. I would love to stay there again.
