Located on the Officer’s Field, a beautiful residential development which originally housed 2012 Olympic sailing event’s international team, Osprey House is situated on the edge of the Isle of Portland on the World Heritage coast in Dorset.
With a generous open plan layout, Osprey House is perfect for guests to enjoy cooking, eating and relaxing together. In the summer you can open the patio doors and enjoy the enclosed patio and lawned garden, in the winter cosy up and chat in the bright spacious and light lounge on the first floor which has large windows overlooking the Chesil bank in the distance. On the second floor you will find the master bedroom with its touch of luxury with a patio terrace and an en-suite shower room.
The secluded and clear waters of Chesil Cove, ideal for snorkelling, scuba diving, rock pools, fishing or sunbathing are just minutes away, Other favoured local pursuits on and around Portland include rambling (the flora and fauna are a nature lover's delight), sailing, scuba diving, fishing climbing, windsurfing and bird watching. Portland is popular with birders and twitchers alike for observing rare migrating birds.
Just minutes away by car is the main seaside town of Weymouth where you will find Weymouth's famous award-winning sandy beach and the charm of the Georgian seafront amongst other family attractions including the Sealife Centre, parks and cinema. If you prefer to leave the car at home, there is a frequent local bus service with bus stop being close to the property.

The house can sleep 7 people in 1 single, 1 twin, 1 king-size, 1 adult bunks bedroom as well has a family bathroom and a shower room. The rest of the house is made up of a fitted kitchen/ dining room and a sitting room. To the outside of the house is off road parking for 2 cars and an enclosed patio with lawned garden. We absolutely love Osprey house.
It was our 2nd visit & have already booked for next year.
It is such a beautiful property & I don't think I can honestly think of a single negative to say.
Only thing I would say was the door lock was slightly stiff.
It was very much home from home.
We had the best stay!

The house was perfect. Very clean very well maintained. Just one thing it only had one double bed. Two divans that you could push together would be good. Apart from that very minor detail I couldn't fault the house at all .

A great home for 2 families to share with plenty of living accomodation as well as spacious bedrooms. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped and the booking process was easy and the information provided and arrival instructions perfect.
