Situated near Monmouth Beach in Lyme Regis, Dorset, Granny’s Teeth is a traditional, "bowling green" chalet located close to the beaches and taking its name from the steps on the nearby Cobb harbour.
Outside there is a sunny, south-west facing decked veranda which offers a place to relax with a lovely view to the sea. With the additional bonus of off-road parking, Granny’s Teeth is ideal for a small family or three adults looking to explore this popular stretch of the UNESCO Jurassic coast. As you step inside, the open plan living area is comfortably furnished with a selection of books and games for your entertainment.
A small but amply fitted kitchen will assist your culinary needs whether preparing breakfast or a meal which can be enjoyed alfresco on the terrace.
All on one level, the two bedrooms create a space for you to cosy down for the night, beginning with a double with storage and a second room houses a bunk bed, perfect for two children or one adult. When you need to freshen up, you will find a shower cubicle and a separate WC and basin. The local area of Lyme Regis is simply teaming with things to do, beginning with the family friendly beach, which is only a short walk from the property.
Popular with bathers and water enthusiasts alike, you will be able to hire a kayak and take to the waves or perhaps embark on one of the many boat trips which run regularly from the iconic Cobb harbour. Other popular activities include the marine aquarium showcasing the fascinating sea life along the coast, as well as two museums delving into the rich history of the local area. Renowned for its fossil-rich coastline, head to Monmouth beach with its Ammonite pavement or join one of the guided fossil walks to your hand at finding your very own ammonites on the shores. Lyme Regis boasts a great variety of eateries within the town which will leave you spoilt for choice with many specialising in local produce, fresh seafood and locally brewed beverages.
