The Salmon – Luxury Glamping with a Wild Welsh Twist


Set within a popular and picturesque glamping site near the charming market town of Rhayader, The Salmon is one of four identical state-of-the-art Isabella Time Out Tents, designed for those who want to experience the great outdoors without sacrificing home comforts. With space to accommodate up to five guests—and room for two more on a pull-out double sofa bed (available at an extra cost)—this is glamping at its finest.


Inside, the tent offers a surprisingly spacious and thoughtfully arranged layout. At the heart of the living space, a large corner sofa provides the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring, whether you're gathered around the coffee table with snacks or curled up in front of the smart TV. That same sofa cleverly converts into an additional sleeping area for those travelling with larger groups.


The fully equipped kitchenette includes a fridge freezer, electric oven, kettle, toaster, and all the essentials you need to whip up a hearty family dinner or prepare a picnic for your next Welsh adventure. With an open-plan layout, you’re always part of the action, whether you’re cooking or simply relaxing.


To the rear of the tent, two cosy bedrooms await. The main bedroom features an elevated comfy double bed, while the second room has a triple bunk with a lower double and an upper single—perfect for families or groups of friends.


Step outside and you’ll discover the true magic of The Salmon. A private hot tub sits ready and waiting for you to sink into its warm bubbles with a glass of something fizzy in hand. The outdoor area also features seating for alfresco dining, a fire pit for marshmallow toasting, and even a star-gazing hammock—an idyllic spot to relax with a book or just take in the sounds of the nearby babbling brook.


While the tent doesn’t have an en-suite bathroom, a short walk brings you to the modern on-site toilet and shower facilities.


Adding to the charm of your stay, friendly alpacas roam the site, delighting guests young and old and adding a little extra magic to your getaway.


When it comes to local adventures, you're perfectly placed to explore the best of Mid Wales. Watch red kites being fed nearby, hike through the awe-inspiring Elan Valley, or stroll through the peaceful Gilfach Nature Reserve. Whether you're seeking nature, comfort, or a bit of both, The Salmon offers a truly memorable glamping experience.


Please Note: These tents have an Electric Plinth Heater to take the chill but allows you to experience the real meaning of 'Glamping.'

Here we have this Unique Glamping Tent fully furnished to sleep 5 guests with an optional extra of the sofa bed for an extra 2 guests There is an additional charge for the sofa bed) This state of the art Glamping Tent comes complete with a fully equipped kitchenette with a small fridge freezer, electric oven, kettle, toaster & everything else you could need for the chef of the group to feel right at home whipping up a family favourite meal to enjoy in the evening or a picnic ready for that day of exploring the local area. The open plan living area always ensure that all the space is used to its full potential, with a large corner sofa with coffee table in front, this is the perfect area to kick back and relax and enjoy your favourite series on the smart television, this sofa also doubles up as an additional sleeping area. To the back of the property lies the two bedrooms, one is a upper comfy double bedroom and the second bedroom a triple bunk bed room with a lower double bed and upper single bed. With its own private hot tub this is the perfect place to relax with your favourite glass of bubbly, bliss right? The Salmon also has its own outdoor seating for alfresco dining, fire pit for toasting gooey marshmallows & a star gazing hammock to relax on in the sunshine, the perfect place to chill out with a good book whilst listening to the sound of the babbling brook that passes near the property. These tents do not have their own bathrooms but you have full access to the on site toilet and shower block which is a very short walking distance from the tent.
