Porch Cottage Keswick is welcoming, 300 hundred years old and Grade 11 listed, it retains many of its original features, including its beautiful oak studded front door. Whether you’re looking for a romantic bolthole for two, a getaway for two couples or a family of four, Porch Cottage guarantees a relaxing boutique stay in the heart of Keswick.
The cottage has gas central heating throughout and comprises: open plan sitting/dining room with original oak beams, a wood burning stove, smart TV and mountain views. The kitchen has under floor heating below the original 300-year-old Skiddaw black slate slabs, Siemens electric oven and induction hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
The staircase with its Lakeland Herdwick Wool carpet leads up to two spacious bedrooms where you will find two sumptuous super-king size beds, as standard. The master bedroom is en-suite featuring a large drench shower. If requested, the second bedroom can be converted into two comfortable singles. Both rooms have wall mounted smart TV’s and mountain views over the river, Egyptian cotton sheets, plump pillows and cosy duvets provide a relaxing night's sleep.
The main bathroom features a large double bath and a separate shower cubicle with drench shower.
To the rear of the cottage there is an enclosed private courtyard with seating and throws for chillier evenings. You will also find a ‘secret bath’ in which to relax and soak under the stars!
All gas, electric, logs (seasonal), large fluffy towels, bathrobes and bed linen are provided. Private parking for 2 cars. Welcome pack provided.
