Y Bwthyn is a ground floor cottage with facilities to aid the less able. Situated on an organic farm in the beautiful Conwy Valley, it is just a mile to the castle town of Conwy and a short drive to Llandudno, Betws Y Coed and Snowdonia.
The cottage is found on an organic working farm, where sheep and Welsh Black cattle are raised. Each of the four cottages is designed to offer personal privacy and all have a wide view of the valley, and Bryn Dowse is no exception. This is the perfect spot for a family vacation, giving kids the opportunity to observe animals and discover farm life throughout the four seasons.
A delightful conversion with facilities to ease life for the disabled. A sun-trap patio for the daytime with barbecue to end a busy day, Y Bwthyn has two bedrooms, shower room with facilities to aid the disabled, kitchen and lounge-diner with open fire. Lounge now has rise-and-recline armchair. Facilities include microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, freezer, TV in bedrooms, WiFi, DVD, video, CD music centre, garden furniture and barbecue. Bed linen, towels and an initial supply of logs are included in the rental
Additionally on site there is a shared laundry room containing washing machine & tumble dryer, a secure 5/6 person sauna with shower and changing facilities and a heated games room (table tennis etc) and internet access, available for use by all the cottages.
The Conwy Valley is an intriguing area, very different to the rough, tough rocky mountains of neighbouring Snowdonia. The River Conwy flows through a broad, sheltered vale carpeted with rich farmland. It’s flanked on the west by thick forests and to the east by the heather moors and woods of Hiraethog (otherwise known as the Denbigh Moors), a huge expanse of unexplored upland. All in all, it’s an area of great variety, with tumbling falls, wooded gorges, mountain lakes, high moorland and a charming stretch of the North Wales coast. There’s also a great choice of places to stay – everything from traditional market towns and villages to seaside resorts.
