The town's rich history is evident in its grand mansions, artisan shops, and bustling weekly market and was once home to Molière (a well known French actor), adding a theatrical legacy to its cultural tapestry. The surrounding area includes Montpellier, a lively city with a beautiful historic centre; the historical city of Béziers, famous for its wine and the Canal du Midi; and the stunning seaside resorts, including Sète and Cap d’Agde, all within an hours drive. Or maybe spend a day at Lake Salagou, only a 25 minute drive away, with its striking red hills and tranquil waters, perfect for outdoor adventures and relaxation.
