The house is only a few minutesâ drive to the medieval Cinque Port town of Rye for shops, pubs, and restaurants. There is a good network of footpaths that enable much of Nature Reserve to be visited from access points in Rye Town, Winchelsea Beach and Rye Harbour. Why not bring your bike and try out one of the local cycle paths, from Rye you can pick up the National Cycle Network Route 2 just after the last few houses on the right-hand side? The cycle path follows the course of the road for the most part, dipping inland a couple of times until crossing the road just after the sailing lake.
