When staying in Whitley Bay, you can enjoy two miles of golden sands and experience incredible views of the coastline from the Victorian lighthouse on St Mary’s Island. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat, head to Spanish City where you’ll find a Renaissance-style hall transformed with a fish and chip restaurant, a traditional tearoom, a waffle and pancake house and a champagne bar inside. Just 50-metres away from Kittiwake House is Park View, a lively street boasting a whole host of bars, restaurants catering to a wide range of tastes, and independent shops. Kittiwake House is just a short walk from both Monkseaton and Whitley Bay Tyne & Wear metro stations, providing quick and easy access to Tynemouth, Newcastle and further afield. A number of bus routes can be found running through Whitley Bay. Hop on the 1 service to visit the Metrocentre, Tynemouth and North Shields, take a trip on the 54 to take in the sights of Newcastle, or board the 308 to travel to Blyth. The nearest airport is Newcastle International, 18 miles from Whitley Bay. The Tyne & Wear Metro also runs services to the airport.

We really enjoyed our stay, the house had nice ‘home from home’ vibes. The location was really good and the house was nice and clean.

The unit is a terraced house which is an easy walk to Whitley Bay beach and restaurants. The entire house has been modernized and was sparkling clean. Comfortable beds, great bathrooms, and spacious living area. What more do you need for a home away from home. Only thing I might complain about is that there is a lack of cutlery in the kitchen.
