Ballarat House is brilliantly placed to visit Margate Old Town, Cliftonville and the beach. Cliftonville is great for those wanting to explore its alternative arty scene and the great choice of independent restaurants, clubs and shops, whilst Margate Old Town is bursting with energy and charm. Offering the perfect escape for large families or groups of friends, this delightful home features two wood-burning stoves, two Smart TVs, two open-plan living spaces, and two patio areas- one enclosed with a barbecue, the other on the lower ground floor, all whilst welcoming 2 well-behaved dogs, ensuring a relaxing seaside getaway for everyone. As you approach the house, the eye-catching steps lead you up to the front door. Inside, the spacious hallway is filled with character, boasting high ceilings, exposed wooden floors, and a stunning chandelier, setting the tone for the rest of this quaint home. Upon entering the property, you'll be greeted by a spacious open-plan area, featuring a well-equipped kitchen for all your culinary needs, a large sociable space for enjoying meals together and the sitting area boasting a wood-burning stove and a Smart TV, perfect for those chillier evenings. Large shutter windows allow natural light to flood the room. Spread over three floors, the property offers five beautifully presented bedrooms. On the lower ground floor, a king-size bedroom awaits. Upstairs on the first floor, there are two king-size rooms featuring charming period details such as large traditional windows. A few steps up leads to a twin room that can also be converted into a super king-size bed on request. A few steps down leads to a further twin room that can also be converted into a super king-size bed on request, offering flexibility for various group arrangements. For your convenience, there is a spacious bathroom, a ground-floor shower room and a lower-ground wet room with a stylish freestanding bath, ensuring no morning queues for the bathroom. Outside, the enclosed patio provides a private space for alfresco dining or simply relaxing with a good book.
Complete with furniture and a barbecue, it's the perfect spot for enjoying warm summer evenings. There is another private lower ground floor patio area. There are sandy beaches at the end of the road and, Walpole Bay a short walk away is perfect for families and is a brilliant place to wild swim. Walk along the coastal path to The Turner Contemporary, an acclaimed local art gallery showcasing an array of contemporary and historical works. Margate is home to an array of restaurants offering different types of cuisine to tempt you, especially on nearby Northdown Road. At the bottom of the road there is a wonderful parade of galleries, independent shops and even a trendy late night bar. Explore at your own pace knowing you have the welcoming retreat of Ballarat House to return to at the end of each adventure-filled day.

Please note that the property only accepts Friday check-ins for week long and weekend bookings, three day weekends on peak holiday periods and bank holidays. Ballarat House is over three floors consisting of a lower-ground kitchen with an electric oven, gas hob, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, a lower-ground sitting area with wood burning stove and Smart TV, a kitchen with a range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwashers, and coffee maker, a dining area, highchair, and a sitting area with a Smart TV and wood burning stove. The bedrooms consist of 1 x Cot, 1 x lower-ground king-size 2 x first floor king-size 2 x twin (zip/link, can be super-king-size on request) on the mezzanine level one above and one down from the main bedrooms. serviced by a bathroom, ground-floor shower room, and a lower-ground bathroom. Outside, is an enclosed patio with furniture, barbecue and roadside parking available. A further private patio area on a lower level. Within 0.1 miles you will find a shop, 0.2 miles a pub and 0.6 miles a beach. Two, well-behaved dogs are allowed. Sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. For a charming townhouse near the beach stay at Ballarat House.
