Escape to the Dutch countryside at Kleinhoef, a charming farmhouse dating back to 1875, nestled among peaceful meadows along the River Vecht.
Located between Amsterdam and Utrecht, it offers the perfect combination of rural tranquillity and easy access to the city. Enjoy two comfortable bedrooms with private bathrooms, a spacious farmhouse kitchen, a cosy living area and inviting outdoor terraces overlooking the surrounding countryside.
Start your morning with coffee in the sunshine, explore the picturesque villages along the river or simply unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature. A wonderful place to slow down and experience authentic Dutch country living. Guests have access to their accommodation and the designated shared spaces within the farmhouse, including the spacious country kitchen and cosy living area. Outside, you can enjoy the peaceful countryside surroundings and the terraces overlooking the meadows.
Covered bicycle storage is also available, including facilities for charging electric bicycles. Kleinhoef is located alongside the beautiful River Vecht, with a private jetty and swimming ladder by the water. Please respect the privacy of other guests and the owners, and note that not all areas of the farmhouse and surrounding farmland are accessible. Kleinhoef is a genuine countryside retreat, and life here follows the rhythms of nature. You may hear birds singing early in the morning, frogs croaking on warm summer evenings or the occasional owl calling at night.
As the farmhouse is surrounded by working farmland, agricultural activity and machinery may sometimes be heard, particularly during the farming season. A few practical things to know: Wi-Fi is available, but internet speeds are not particularly fast. There is no television. Bed linen, towels and basic kitchen essentials are provided. Covered bicycle storage and electric bicycle charging are available. Pets are preferably not accommodated; please contact us in advance if you have a request. There is no dedicated electric vehicle charging station. We hope you will enjoy the authentic atmosphere and natural surroundings that make Kleinhoef so special. Quiet hours: 22:00 to 08:00. Pets: Not allowed.

The farmhouse features two distinctive bedrooms: De Tuinkamer (Garden Room) and De Opkamer (Raised Room). Both have their own private bathroom with a shower, washbasin and toilet. De Tuinkamer also features a lovely conservatory with a comfortable seating area and coffee and tea facilities.
Its southeast-facing terrace is a wonderful spot to enjoy breakfast in the morning sunshine. At the heart of the farmhouse is the spacious country kitchen, featuring a four-burner induction hob, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and a large wooden dining table seating up to eight people. Next to the kitchen, the cosy living area offers comfortable seating and a traditional box-bed-style sofa.
Sliding doors connect the living space to the terrace, where you can enjoy beautiful views across the surrounding fields. Bed linen, towels, coffee, tea and basic kitchen essentials are provided.

Eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre und Ruhe.Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Amsterdam oder Utrecht, auch mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ab Weesp.Die Ausstattung ist gut. Etwas mehr Geschirr wäre gut.

Stunning surrounds, beautiful region in the Netherlands, well-equipped rental property (could use a microwave oven), very kind host, … nothing but kudos. The internet speed, though, is extremely low (5 Mbps down, 0.5 Mbps up) … quite useless. We’ll be back.
